Renault New Zealand COVID-19 Updates

With New Zealand's recent changes in COVID-19 Alert Levels, we wanted to provide you with an update on how this affects our ability to operate. Below is an overview of what services are available at each Alert Level.

Level 4

  • Our dealerships are not open, except for vehicle repairs for essential workers.
  • If you are an essential worker and require a repair, please book in by contacting us on 0800 736 2858. Our team will use approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your vehicle.
  • You can still book in for a service or test drive, however, these will happen when we drop down alert levels.
  • Online vehicle orders can still be placed to secure your new Renault. Vehicle pick up cannot happen until a drop in alert levels.

Level 3

  • Our dealerships are not fully open for browsing our range and customers are not able to enter the buildings.
  • Contactless services, repairs, and test drives are available. We ask that you please book in for these. Services can be booked here, test drives can be booked here or you can call our team on 0800 736 2858Our team will use approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your vehicle.
  • Online vehicle orders can be placed and processed as usual.

Level 2

  • Our dealerships are open with appropriate safety checks in place - this includes our public-facing team wearing masks. Please ensure you also wear a mask and scan in when visiting our dealerships.
  • Contactless services, repairs, and test drives are available. We ask that you please book in for these. Services can be booked here, test drives can be booked here or you can call our team on 0800 736 2858. Our team will use approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your vehicle.
  • Online vehicle orders can be placed and processed as usual

Level 1

  • Our dealerships are open as per usual! We ask that you please remember to still scan in when you visit us. If you're not feeling well, please stay home and browse our range online instead.
  • We'd love to show your our vehicle range and get you out for a test drive to experience the world of Renault. Feel free to visit us, or book yourself in for a test drive here.
  • If you need a vehicle service or repair, those can be booked as usual here, or you can call our team on 0800 736 2858.
  • Online vehicle orders can be placed and processed as usual

Other measures to keep you safe

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, staff and community is of our highest priority. We are following the Ministry of Health’s guidelines and have implemented stringent measures to ensure everyone stays safe. These include:

  • PPE: Our teams will use approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on your vehicle. This includes the wearing of gloves and fitment of steering wheel, gear lever and seat covers. The public-facing team in our dealerships will also be wearing face masks in adherence to the newly introduced mask mandate.
  • Contact Tracing: We will digitally collect contact details from all visitors in line with contact tracing guidelines & store that information in a centralised contact register
  • Stricter cleaning and sanitisation: All dealership and vehicle touchpoints will be thoroughly and regularly cleaned, we'll also be keeping cleaning logs of all vehicles repaired, serviced and/or test driven. For services and repairs done on essential workers vehicles, all touchpoints will be cleaned before handing it back. This includes keys, outside door handles, driver’s inside door handle, steering wheel, indicator switch, wiper control switch, gear lever, handbrake, driver’s seat belt and buckle, window control switches and bonnet release cable.
  • Social Distancing: Maintaining social distancing with our dealership teams when they’re at work.
  • Distribute Policies: Clearly documented & distributed policies and guidelines for staff to adhere to. You will also see some of these at our dealerships.
